一. Teaching and learning aims:
(一). 认知目标
1. 能掌握单词及词组squirrels, give, get… from, bushy, from that day on, gifts, sang for.
2. 能够理解故事,朗读故事,语音正确。
3. 能与小组合作表演故事。
(二). 能力目标:
培养学生的阅读理解能力和表演能力,以及语言归纳总结能力。
(三). 情感目标:
教育学生要热爱生活,勤劳付出。
二. Teaching importance and difficulties::
1. 掌握单词,理解故事大意并能准确流利地朗读。
2. 能借助阅读策略读懂故事,获取相应信息,体会故事中人物心情,并借助关键词复述故事。
三. 教学准备:
教师准备多媒体课件,课文情景动画,教学卡片。
四: Teaching Procedures:
Step1: pre-reading
1. Greetings.
2. Guessing game.
For the instruction part,teacher and students will talk a little about animals’ tail. After this short conversation, teacher will naturally lead to today’s objectives---How do the squirrels’ tail become bushy from thin?
Step2: while-reading
1. Go through the story and find the main characters ---- Zac and Monkey King.
2. Invite students to say something about the two characers ( Where do they live? What are their hobbies?)
3. Lead to the setting---- forest.
4. Read the story in details.
Why do the squirrels give gifts to the Monkey King?
Why does Zac like his new tail?
Students use their imagination to say something about Zac’s new tail.
5. Teacher uses the key words to help students better understand the plot of the story.
Step3. Post-reading
1. Try to retell the stories and read aloud.
2. Try to act the story.
Step4. Summary
View and think: Now do you know why the squirrels’ tail become bushy?
We should get on well with others.
Step. Homework
Read the story aloud and retell the story to your friends.
