Step 1: Warming up
1. Greeting
2. Play games: golden eggs.
In each golden egg, there is a small task. There is a gift in one of golden egg.
Step 2: Presentation
(Show the toy dog in front of the class)
T: What’s this?Yes, a dog. Now there comes a ball. Where is the ball?
Ss: It’s in front of the dog.
T: Yes, very good. Please read after me “in front of”.
Show some pictures on PPT, make Ss try to describe each picture by using the main sentence pattern.
T presents the other words in same way.
Step 3:Consolidation
1. Group work
(Show the picture on the PPT)
T: Look at the picture. There are some things in this picture. What can you see in this picture?
S1: I can see a photo.
S2: I can see grandparents.
T: Wonderful! Now I will give 3minutes to do a group work, three students in one group. Describe the position of each thing.
(When time’s up, T invites some groups to show their works.)
2. Describe your position.
(Show a photo of the students) Guide the Ss to describe their position by using these 5 prepositions. Invite some of them to introduce their position.
